2024 Early Career Veterinarian Scholarship

Royal Canin is happy to support veterinary education in feline medicine by offering 25 scholarships for early career veterinarians for the 2024 AAFP Annual Conference. To qualify, veterinarians must be licensed, have graduated from veterinary school within the last five (5) years, are not yet board certified, and are working in the US or Canada. The 2024 AAFP Annual Conference takes place in Minneapolis, MN from September 26–29, 2024.

Application:

Early career veterinarians interested in applying for a complimentary 2024 AAFP Annual Conference registration may submit your application beginning at 12:00 noon EDT on May 21, 2024. Once we reach capacity for applications, the submission process will close. Please note this only applies to the in-person conference registration.

The application period has concluded.

Selection:

Up to 25 early career veterinarians will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis from those who express clear interest and a passion for feline medicine. We will notify the scholarship recipients via email by Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Those who are not chosen will still have the opportunity to register for the conference prior to the early-bird deadline.

Please note:

• This scholarship is only applicable for the in-person three-day conference registration.
• If you are a previous Early Career Veterinarian Scholarship Program recipient, you are not eligible to receive it again.
• Submission of an application form does not guarantee complimentary conference registration.
• Early Career Veterinarian Scholarship recipient contact information will be shared with the sponsor, Royal Canin.
• Those receiving the scholarship are required to attend the 2024 AAFP Annual Conference and participate in a dinner with the sponsor on Friday, September 27, 2024. More specifics will follow.

Registration:

• Candidates chosen for the scholarship must reply via email by June 24, 2024, with their acceptance of the scholarship and verify that they will attend the 2024 AAFP Conference and sponsor dinner.
• If a candidate does not reply within the deadline and make the deposit, an alternate candidate will be contacted. Please ensure your email address is correct and you are receiving emails from info@catvets.com.
• The deadline to submit your conference registration to the 2024 AAFP Annual Conference is July 18, 2024. Please note to register for the conference, a refundable deposit of $150 will be needed. This deposit will be refunded after the 2024 AAFP Annual Conference and is contingent upon the candidate’s attendance at the entire conference and dinner with AAFP leaders hosted by Royal Canin. Instructions for registration procedures will be supplied in the scholarship notification email.
• Complimentary conference registration includes the conference fee, breakfasts, coffee breaks, three receptions, tote bag, conference proceedings (online), giveaways, access to the Exhibit Hall, and more! (Please note that this does not include the Pre-conference Day Registration, ancillary sessions, or additional items as they must be purchased by the attendee.)
• Please verify that the conference dates (September 27–29) will not conflict with your schedule prior to applying.
