Research Grants

The AAFP supports the practice of evidence-based medicine and rely on scientific investigation to advance the quality of care for cats. From time to time the AAFP will support individual research grants to improve feline health and welfare through funding of targeted health studies in cats.

Cat Health Network

The Cat Health Network (CHN) is a collaborative effort by the American Association of Feline Practitioners, (AAFP) American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF), Morris Animal Foundation (MAF), and EveryCat Health Foundation (ECHF). The goal of the CHN is to improve feline health and welfare by funding focused feline health studies.

Clinical Trials

The AAFP supports clinical trials where researchers are looking to work together with feline practitioners to further the knowledge of feline medicine.

ABVP Certification

The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association to provide board certifications in eight species categories, including Feline.
